Now recruiting for an experienced LPN with immediate availability for a part-time weekend position/ PRN. Work schedule will include 1-2 weekends per month 8am-8pm (about 24 hours per week). Responsibilities include administering medication, injections, taking vital signs and assessments, performing regular lab work including blood draws and providing patient education. Seeking candidate with at least three years of experience. Experience in primary or urgent care preferred.
Job Duties:
- Administering medications
- Following physician’s orders
- Drawing blood
- Checking glucose levels and blood pressures
- Responding to medical emergency situations
- Performs physicals and health assessments of individuals and handles emergency situations
- Work includes performing treatments as needed, cleansing and dressing wounds.
- Employee is additionally responsible for inventory of medical equipment and medications.
- Following universal infection control precaution procedures.
- Employee is subject to the usual hazards of nursing work, including potential exposure to communicable diseases and blood-borne pathogens
Education and Experience:
- License Practical Nursing license and CPR certificate required upon hire and duration of employment.
- Graduation from an accredited Practical Nursing program and 3 years of experience in patient care; or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities
