Full-time Medical Assistant position open at a specialty practice requiring availability to work Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and one Saturday a month. Assists the physician with patient care, patient triage at office visit, documentation, clerical, and organizational tasks. Provides support for appointment scheduling and maintaining medical record. Position requires a minimum of one year of medical assisting experience and Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) preferred.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
• Prepares patient for and assists with examinations.
• Conduct minor procedural type care and instrument sterilization
• Assist Provider with patient care
• Administers injections and medications, dresses wounds and incisions, provides accurate and consistent information to the patient, and assists with emergency and minor procedures, and performs related tasks as directed.
• Collects patient data and maintains records of vital statistics and physiological/biological information in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system.
• Cleans and sterilizes instruments and equipment, and maintains stock of supplies and medications.
• Conducts specified laboratory tests.
